Villi is a video performance that explores the connection between the ethereal and the natural environment, using mirrored acrylic pieces to create reflections and mimicry. Inspired by figures from Romantic ballet such as the Sylphs and by the willi/villi of Slavic mythology—female spirits who inhabit the forests—this work embodies supernatural stillness and the ambiguity of being within the landscape. The piece reflects on the transparency and ghostly presence of the body, capturing the essence of an entity that seems to fade and merge with the space.
