Luciferina is a speculative performance and installation that chronicles the emergence of a bioluminescent entity from the sea. The title is derived from luciferin, the molecule responsible for light emission in living organisms.
The project centers on a fictional creature that navigates the threshold between the oceanic depths and the terrestrial landscape. This transition is documented through film and physical evidence: a series of ceramic sculptures presented as "fossils." The project explores the intersections of biomimicry, archaeology, and the tangible remains of the supernatural within a fictitious setting.
