NUBARRÓN DE CASA is a performance-for-camera investigating the translation of digital memory into physical space. Originating as a writing exercise during the domestic confinement of the COVID-19 pandemic, the work maps the repetitive and restricted paths of the artist’s home, transforming a bedroom into a site of psychological architecture.
The project functions as a "game of translations": a memory trail is first rendered as a digital 3D animation, which is then re-embodied through live movement. Wearing a reflective suit to manipulate light for an audience, the artist manifests a tangible nubarrón (dark cloud), an internal atmosphere projected onto the structural limits of the house.
“Sometimes, my knees hurt. Maybe it’s because I’m staying still and don’t go for a walk... My face hurts. I’m crying too much. It feels like a balloon filled with water... My chest hurts. My heart feels wrinkled. My body is filled with water; Mar says I must let the water come out.” Excerpt from the original performance text.
